With 2017 underway, the upcoming release schedule for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is looking barren. While last gen saw a small selection of releases last year, 2017 is looking like it may be the end for the PS3 and especially for the Xbox 360. Here is a small list of games you can look forward to on last gen consoles...
*Digital Releases
Upcoming Releases | PS3
- Winning Post 8 (March 2nd)
- Persona 5 (April 4th)
- *Space Overlords (Q1 2017 - Already out on PS4/Vita)
- *Forgotten Memories (TBA 2017)
- *Rainbow Skies (TBA 2017)
- *Asdivine Hearts (Q1 2017)
Upcoming Releases | Multi-platform
- Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (TBA 2017)
- FIFA/Madden/NBA 2018 (Unconfirmed, likely by previous statement)
And that's it! There may be a new announcement here and there, but don't hold your breath. With EA stating back in 2013 that they would support last gen through 2017 at the latest, we may not even see EA's next iteration of sports games in 2018. Nevertheless there's still a small list of excellent games still upcoming and despite all signs pointing to this being the last year of support, you can't deny that the PS3 and Xbox 360 have had a hell of a run.
Note: Let me just note that actually finding a comprehensive list of upcoming titles was very difficult, many major retailers and gaming sites have long ditched support or acknowledgement of last gen. After a lot of digging, this is all the games I could find, so there may be some I may have missed but these seems unlikely given the general lack of support anyway.
